The Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) consists of licensed amateurs who have voluntarily registered their qualifications and equipment for communications duty in the public service when disaster strikes. Every licensed amateur, regardless of membership in ARRL or any other local or national organization, is eligible for membership in the ARES. The only qualification, other than possession of an Amateur Radio license, is a sincere desire to serve. For more information click on “more”.

Web Site Update - JC [W4QK]

As many of you know, the CCARC web site files were lost due to a computer drive failure, and I was not able to update the files on the server. The problem has been fixed and I am in the process of catching up. The member roster will be updated soon. If you have any information you would like to see published on the web site, please email it to ccarc@hamradioman.com.

For ARRL members go to the ARRL website and edit your email subscriptions to receive the following: "The ARES E-letter (monthly public service and emergency communications news), and "News and information from your Division Director and Section Manager". By checking the boxes next to these two categories you will receive a monthly email relative to emergency communications from the ARRL and from the GA Section Manager.
