President - Dennis (Pete) LaPierre - K1OYQ

Pete has been a ham since 1959 and is still active on all the HF bands with phone, CW, and PSK31. He is an avid DX chaser and loves to work DXpedtions. He is a Volunteer Examiner (VE) and enjoys teaching amateur radio and electronics classes. Pete enjoys giving back to the hobby by working with the local Boy Scouts to help them achieve their Radio Merit Badges, assisting high school students with their senior projects involving ham radio, and assisting young college students with obtaining amateur radio scholarships. Pete's main goal for the CCARC membership is for them to have fun with the hobby (Quote “it's just a hobby - not a job”).

Vice President - James (Dick) Embry - KD4CK

Dick was born 6 April 1942 in Denton Texas. He dabbled with electricity and electronics beginning in his early teens.  He graduated from a very small school in Saint Jo, Texas as valedictorian of a class of 15. He later served in the US Army performing bench repairs on aviation electronics.  He was first in his class when training for his MOS. Since he was the only one in the class, he was also last. Dick was married June 19, 1965 to Dianna.  His family includes 5 children and 19 grandchildren with number 20 due in June 2009.  He received his Technician license in September 2007 and due to a fundamental understanding of basic electronics, upgraded to Amateur Extra Class in October 2007. Dick is most interested is service activity.

Jerry has been licensed since the 60’s. He holds and Amateur Extra class license and is active on HF and VHF. Jerry  is a registered Volunteer Examiner (VE), and is considered to be the club’s expert on ECHOLink operations.

James has been licensed since 1988. He holds an Amateur Advanced Class license and is active in HF and VHF. James is active in Amateur Radio Emergency Service. He is also active in Therapy Dog service in local hospitals and retirement centers.
