Every year on the fourth full weekend in June our club participates in the ARRL Field Day activities. We set up our radios at the Pointes West recreation area at Clarks Hill lake and operate for the entire weekend. We have a big Pot Luck dinner and everyone has a great time. The 2010 Merit Badge University (MBU) was held at the Riverside Middle School on February 6. Members of the CCARC participated in the event by providing training for the Boy Scouts working on the Radio Merit Badge. We all had a great time and will be ready to help again next year. You can see pictures of the Scouts and the 2010 MBU on other pages here. For details click on “more”.

The expense of maintaining several repeaters in our area has prompted the CCARC to create a repeater support reserve fund.

The money from this fund is used for repair parts, coaxial cables, antennas and other miscellaneous items that are necessary to keep the repeaters up and functioning at their designed specifications.

A Platinum Club has been formed so that members and other individuals may donate to support the club’s repeater assets. Recognition for your donations will appear on the Platinum Club page. The Platinum Club has four levels for contributions: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum.
